Logworm is operated by Hai Duc Consulting, LLC. By creating an account, signing in, continuing as a guest, or posting content in Logworm, you agree to these Terms of Use and community standards.
Logworm does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post, share, or encourage harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, spam, impersonation, bullying, or content that targets, intimidates, exploits, or harms another person or group.
You are responsible for the ratings, logs, comments, reviews, lists, profile text, and other content you submit. Do not post content that violates these Terms, infringes someone else's rights, or breaks applicable law.
Logworm may filter objectionable content before it is posted. Users can report objectionable content and block abusive users from the app's moderation controls on shared content, comments, and public profiles. Blocking a user removes that user from your feed and notifies Hai Duc Consulting, LLC for moderation review.
Hai Duc Consulting, LLC reviews objectionable content reports within 24 hours. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or eject users who violate these Terms or abuse the service.

This Privacy Policy describes how Hai Duc Consulting, LLC, the operator of Logworm ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Logworm mobile application ("App").
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. This information is stored in our database, which is powered by Supabase.
Content you log. The movies, TV shows, books, podcasts, rankings, and ratings you add to the App are stored on our servers via Supabase and synced to your device. This data is associated with your account.
Social interactions. Logworm includes social features that allow users to view each other's lists and rankings. Any content you mark as public within the App may be visible to other users.
Public web profile. You can choose to turn on a public profile page at logworm.com/u/your-username (Edit Profile > Public profile on the web). It is off by default. When it is on, anyone on the internet can open it without signing in, and search engines can index it. The page shows your username, your rankings of movies, TV shows, books and podcasts with your scores, and reviews you have marked public. It does not show your real name, bio, city or email address. Turn the setting off and the page stops being served immediately. Content already copied by a search engine or a person is outside our control.
Crash and diagnostic data. We use Sentry to find and fix crashes and errors. This is always on and is not controlled by the Share usage data setting. A report contains technical details such as the device model, operating system and app version, what the app was doing when it failed, and the IP address Sentry sees when it receives the report. We do not attach your email address, your notes or the text you search for.
Device information. We may collect basic device information such as operating system version and device type to support app functionality and troubleshoot issues.
Advertising data. We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect information about your device and interactions with ads, including your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS or Android Advertising ID on Android), IP address, and general location. This data is used to show you relevant ads. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Usage analytics. We use Google Firebase Analytics and PostHog to understand how the App is used, for example when the App is opened, which screens are viewed, when a title is rated, and how ad revenue per user compares across app versions. These services receive an app-instance or install identifier, device and app-version information, and event names. They do not receive the notes you write or the text you search for. You can turn off PostHog usage events in Settings > Share usage data.
Lookups. When you search for or open a title, the text of that search or the title's identifier is sent to the service that supplies the information: TMDb and OMDb for movies and TV, Open Library for books, and Apple's iTunes Search for podcasts. Those requests come from your device or our servers and do not include your account email.
Website visitors. Our website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It does not use advertising cookies.
Consent data. We use Google's User Messaging Platform to collect and manage your consent for personalized advertising, in compliance with applicable privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA.
Communication preferences. We may collect and store your email communication preferences, including whether you have opted out of marketing emails.
We share information with service providers that help us operate the App, such as database, authentication, advertising, consent management, analytics, support, and email delivery providers. These providers may process information on our behalf.
We do not sell your account email address or the content you log. We do not give your email address to third-party companies so they can market directly to you unless you have separately consented or we clearly tell you otherwise at the time of collection. Advertising partners may collect and use advertising data as described in this Policy and their own privacy policies.
Your account and content data is stored using Supabase, a cloud database platform. Data is stored on servers located in the United States. A local copy of your data may also be cached on your device for offline access.
The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
We keep your account and the content you log until you delete your account. When you delete your account we remove your profile, logs, ratings, lists, predictions and social activity, and the backup and archive copies of them, within 30 days of a verified request (in-app deletion is immediate). Moderation reports about abusive content are kept with your identifying details removed. Crash reports and analytics events are kept for the retention period set by Sentry, Google Firebase and PostHog and are not linked to your name or email.
Hai Duc Consulting, LLC is the controller of your personal information. We process it to provide the App and the features you ask for (performance of a contract), to keep the App secure and to find crashes and understand usage (our legitimate interests), and for personalized advertising, advertising identifiers and marketing email (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time). You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your information, and object to processing, by emailing help@logworm.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Our servers and our providers' servers are in the United States, so your information is transferred there; our main providers rely on standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards for those transfers.
In the last 12 months we collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (email address, username, device and advertising identifiers, IP address), commercial and activity information (what you rank and log, and how you use the App), approximate location (from your IP address, used by advertising), and content you create (reviews and notes). We collect it from you and from your device, and use it for the purposes listed above. We do not sell your email address or the content you log. Allowing Google AdMob to use advertising identifiers for personalized ads may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out through the consent prompt in the App (Settings > Privacy choices) or your device's advertising settings. You can ask us to tell you what we hold, to delete it, or to correct it by emailing help@logworm.com; we will respond within 45 days and will not treat you differently for asking.
Marketing emails. You can opt out of marketing and promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe instructions in those emails or by contacting us at help@logworm.com. Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send non-promotional messages about your account, security, support requests, or important App updates.
Personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device's privacy settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on iOS, or Settings → Privacy → Ads on Android) or through the consent prompt within the App.
Account deletion. You can delete your account and associated data inside the App from Settings/Profile. We will delete your data within 30 days of a verified request.
Data access. You may request a copy of the data we hold about you by contacting us at the email address below.
Logworm is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not ask for your age when you sign up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe we have, email help@logworm.com and we will delete the account within a few days. We limit the content rating of ads shown in the App.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
